Warranty Information

Registration
All our PRODUCTS are supplied with a 12 month limited warranty (from date of purchase) and includes 12 months of technical support. The warranty duration will apply and supersede any and all other durations that may be specified or implied, verbally or in writing, without exception. As from 06/02/17 any PRODUCT that we define as a 'SYSTEM' must be promptly and correctly registered to receive our free-of-charge extended limited warranty. With a valid registration, the 12 month limited warranty coverage would extend to 5 years in total for the system (excluding consumables such as batteries and light bulbs, etc.), and 20 years in total for the solar panel. If a PRODUCT defined as a 'SYSTEM' is not registered, regardless of reason, then a 12 month limited warranty will apply. For any other PRODUCT that is not defined as a 'SYSTEM' any limited warranty greater than 12 months would be specified in the website product description and requires the same registration process as a 'SYSTEM'. It is highly recommended that you register for the free, extended, limited warranty at: www.solarilluminations.co.uk/warranty-registration-form within 30 days of purchase. The purchaser is responsible for limited warranty registration. If the purchaser is not the end-user then the purchaser must ensure that the end-user is aware of the limited warranty policy and registration process. Solar Illuminations accepts no responsibility for failure to register the limited warranty of any PRODUCT or SYSTEM (regardless of reason) and no exceptions apply. Technical support may not be available after 12 months (from date of purchase) if the PRODUCT or SYSTEM is not registered.

Coverage
Consumable components such as batteries, light bulbs, etc. are excluded from any and all warranties. If the battery manufacturer provides warranty coverage then any claim would be with the battery manufacturer directly. Solar Illuminations is not responsible for and will not be held accountable (retrospectively or otherwise) for, any labour, materials, equipment, machinery, hardware, parts, packaging or postage charges associated with the installation, removal, relocation or re-installation of any PRODUCT or SYSTEM including any incidental or consequential costs, losses or fees. Limited warranty coverage does not apply to (and is not limited to) the following: PRODUCT or SYSTEM misuse; an incorrectly installed PRODUCT or SYSTEM; lack of sunshine; low insolation; seasons; weather conditions; geographic location issues, lack of exposure, shaded solar panel, etc. These are examples of human error, Act of God and/or natural environmental effects which would not be covered by any warranty. In addition, illumination times may vary and is not covered by any limited warranty as we are unable to guarantee the illumination time of any solar light that we offer. Should a genuine fault develop within the limited warranty period, the PRODUCT or SYSTEM will be repaired or replaced at our discretion (after inspection and testing) and in accordance with our Terms, Conditions and Policies. The limited warranty does not cover weathering, corrosion, residue, surface scratches, fading, staining or discolouration of any surface or finish. The limited warranty does not cover theft, vandalism, damage or destruction (accidental or deliberate), wind, lightning, ice, snow, storm or any other weather related conditions or Act of God etc. No limited warranty is provided for any light bulbs or any batteries unless provided by the manufacturer and in such instances, any claim would be directly with the manufacturer. Valid, written proof of purchase is required for all limited warranty claims. Without proof of purchase all warranty coverage will be denied, no exceptions. For a PRODUCT or SYSTEM that use multiple LED's, we do not define the PRODUCT or SYSTEM as being defective unless more than 5% of the LED's fail to illuminate. The limited warranty is null & void if a PRODUCT or SYSTEM has been incorrectly installed, altered, damaged due to normal wear & tear, abused, improperly maintained, subjected to liquid ingression, improperly used, disassembled, repaired, modified, or the customer, installer, or end-user has failed to follow instructions or recommendations. To assist with general troubleshooting we may require several clear photographs of the PRODUCT or SYSTEM to ensure that it has been correctly installed and located at a site that is suitable for the PRODUCT or SYSTEM to properly function. We do not provide site visits or inspections. There may be rare occasions where a replacement PRODUCT or PART is no longer available. In these instances, where an alternative PRODUCT or PART is available (valued at the same or lower cost) this may be offered as an alternative. A refund would not apply in full, in part, or retrospectively.
