This indoor/outdoor passive infra-red (PIR) motion sensor is a top-quality, weatherproof, digital motion detector. A true professional, commercial grade, high performance, long range, wide angle detector. It has been specifically designed to be configured with low voltage lighting and some of the solar lighting systems that we offer. Detection angle of up to 230 degrees with two, separate, 115 degree zones individually adjustable. Detection range is adjustable up to approximately 40M on diagonal and up to approximately 16M head-on. This digital motion detector accepts a 12V DC or 24V DC input and can switch a load of 10A (120W at 12V DC or 240W at 24V DC). An adjustable timer allows settings from 15 seconds to up to 30 minutes upon activation. It also has adjustable Lux (the lighting level at which the sensor becomes operative) from 2 lux to 2,500 lux.

The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and set facing South at about a 45-60 degree angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter.
